With over half of Ukraineβs energy grid destroyed by continuous missile strikes, Ukrainians face a long and cold winter ahead with periodic power shutdowns inevitable. As temperatures drop below – 20Β°C and supplies run short, many families are struggling to keep warm.
This will be a particular struggle for the enormous amount of people who have had to flee their homes over the last two years. According to the IOMβs latest data, there are over 3.5 million internally displaced people in Ukraine.
When we learned that families in Ukraine would be facing the harsh winter months with unreliable heating, electricity, and limited access to essential supplies, People for People Foundation and LifeLine Ukraine.org joined forces to take immediate action.
With your help, we were able to collect ππ,πππ π’πππ¦π¬ π¨π π°π’π§πππ« ππ₯π¨ππ‘π’π§π in just a matter of weeks. These supplies have now reached Ukraine, wrapping children in warmth and giving parents the reassurance that they are not alone in this struggle.
This is only possible when we join forces. Through the power of collective action, we can be a force for good.
