The Solar Resilience Academy has successfully concluded, bringing practical solar energy knowledge to 200 participants from communities across the Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv regions.

From 3 September to 10 November, local officials, utility specialists, and community managers learned how to plan and implement solar projects, calculate costs, attract donor support, and properly maintain solar systems.

A highlight of the programme was a live session from the new solar power plant at the Mykolaiv Regional Children’s Hospital, where participants received firsthand insights into how solar energy supports essential medical services during outages.

The Academy was organised with support from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, RVO, The Orchard Foundation / Stichting de Boomgaard, Solarge, and in partnership with EcoClub.

With new skills and tools, communities across Ukraine are now better prepared to build resilient, decentralized energy solutions for the future.
