The Ukrainian national television channel “Rada” recently visited the veteran gym in Kyiv, a facility made possible by one of our generous donors. Every day, this gym provides a vital resource for 10 to 15 veterans, many of whom are adapting to life with amputated limbs.
The gym is equipped with specialized equipment designed to assist veterans with amputations, helping them regain strength and mobility. In addition to physical rehabilitation, the facility offers the support of a psychologist trained in trauma therapy, providing crucial assistance for veterans as they navigate their journey toward readjusting to everyday life.
While this gym serves as a valuable resource, it is just a drop in the ocean for the more than 1.2 million veterans in Ukraine. The need for support is immense, and LifeLine Ukraine.org is committed to continuing its efforts to help.
In addition to providing this gym, LifeLine Ukraine.org is also focused on reskilling veterans for IT jobs, helping them find new career paths and opportunities for their future.
