Mobility

We enable people and services to move safely and reliably. From evacuation vehicles to mobile care and local transport solutions. Because survival often depends on the ability to move.

LifeLine Ukraine develops practical mobility solutions that help healthcare, care and essential services remain accessible in frontline communities. We focus on fast, adaptable and locally driven transport solutions that support people who cannot easily leave their communities.

Key areas of support

  • Mobile healthcare and outreach transport for frontline and remote communities
  • Vehicles supporting elderly homecare and community-based care services
  • Transport solutions for evacuation, logistics and local resilience
  • Repurposed and locally adapted vehicles based on operational needs
  • School and evacuation buses helping communities maintain access to education, care and safe transport
  • Practical support such as a tractor for an agricultural school, helping maintain education and local food production.

All mobility projects are implemented together with local partners, ensuring rapid deployment and practical use in changing frontline conditions.

Examples of our projects

Restoring homecare in frontline villages

With support from several donors, Lifeline Ukraine helped restore homecare services in various frontline communities. By providing a vehicle, trailer, and practical equipment, social workers can once again reach isolated elderly residents and people with disabilities. These projects improve access to care, emergency support, and daily assistance across three vulnerable villages near the frontline.

Children happy with school bus

Krolevets, 50 kilometers from the front. Harsh winter conditions. Poverty is widespread. Public transport is at a standstill. It was an impossible task for children to get to their school, which had bomb shelters. That changed in March 2026: they now have a school bus! Thanks to a collaboration between LifeLine Ukraine, People for People Foundation and partners.

Mobile wash units (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene)

Our Mobile WASH Units provide essential sanitation services to frontline communities where water and gas networks have been destroyed. These mobile containers are equipped with hot showers and laundry facilities, offering people a sense of dignity and basic hygiene during the harshest conditions. By bringing these services directly to the people, we help maintain health and resilience in regions under constant pressure.

Evacuation van and materials Sumy region

In the Sumy region, LifeLine Ukraine supports emergency services (DSNS) with a specialized vehicle for evacuation and logistics. Operating just kilometers from the border, this van is a lifeline for civilians needing to reach safety during escalations. By strengthening the mobility of local responders, we ensure that help can reach the most vulnerable populations when every minute counts.
