Care

We secure access to medical, dental, mental, and social and elderly home care in frontline communities. From equipping clinics to enabling mobile medical, elderly and mental care services. So, care continues, even where systems are under pressure.

Lifeline Ukraine supports health projects in frontline and border regions where hospitals, caretakers and medical staff operate under difficult circumstances. We focus on practical, demand-driven solutions that keep essential care available for civilians.

Key areas of support

  • Mobile and outreach healthcare solutions for remote or insecure areas
  • Support for primary care and home care services for elderly and vulnerable patients
  • Supplying medical equipment and consumables to hospitals and frontline clinics
  • Mental health and psychosocial support initiatives for civilians
  • Solar power systems and backup energy solutions for hospitals and healthcare centres

All projects are developed with local partners to ensure fast implementation and direct relevance on the ground.

Examples of our projects

Mobile Care Convoy

Lifeline Ukraine supports the ICF Mobile Care Convoy, bringing essential healthcare to frontline and remote communities in Ukraine. Since the end of 2025, the project also includes mobile dental care funded by Lifeline Ukraine. In the coming months, mental health support will be added to further strengthen care for vulnerable communities.

Upcoming: bringing mental health to hard-hit communities

Together with Chernihiv Children’s Hospital, psychologists will provide direct support to children and teachers through school visits. At the same time, Mobile Care Convoy teams are being trained to recognize mental health problems, offer first-line psychological support, and refer to specialized care when needed. The long-term goal is to build community networks of trained first responders including teachers, sports instructors and social workers.

DESHU: Solar Energy for Hospitals in Ukraine

Through DESHU (Decentralized Energy for Schools & Hospitals in Ukraine), LifeLine Ukraine equips hospitals with solar panels, battery systems and inverters to strengthen energy resilience during blackouts. The programme reduces diesel dependency, lowers CO₂ emissions and helps hospitals continue operating under difficult conditions. Our partners are Stichting de Boomgaard, Solarge, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

Mobile WASH Units (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene)

Our Mobile WASH Units provide essential sanitation services to frontline communities where water and gas networks have been destroyed. These mobile containers are equipped with hot showers and laundry facilities, offering people a sense of dignity and basic hygiene during the harshest conditions. By bringing these services directly to the people, we help maintain health and resilience in regions under constant pressure.
